ABOUT THE COMPANY:

A SaaS company in the lease management and accounting sector seeks Designers to join their team. This is a remote first opportunity, however their Design team is located in Christchurch.
  
Already serving global markets, they are looking to grow this even further this year and beyond as they continue to grow at speed. It’s an exciting time to be joining their business.
  
ABOUT THE ROLE
  
Working with the Tech Lead, Product Management team and Head of Design, you will work cross-functionally to help design the customer experience of their product across their web and mobile applications. You will champion and elevate visual design and brand standards, pushing the limit of their web and application design, while creating beautiful and easy to use design.
  
You’ll work closely with the team to understand how people are responding to your work and how to improve on designs to delight their users. You will create designs that simplify and beautifully explain their app and web product. 
  
There is plenty of opportunity for breadth and growth along with a lot of autonomy and collaboration in this role; there is ample opportunity to really own the design process.

You will be a problem solver at heart and be passionate about creating elegant and effective design for users. Your knack for problem solving will be something you deem collaborative, being something you consult with the wider team. You’ll be a great communicator and you will empower technologists to challenge the boundaries of ‘why’.
  
  
ABOUT YOU:
  • 3+ years as a designer within a technology or product environment; fintech experience is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Design or similar.
  • You will be looking for an opportunity where you can take on more responsibility or move into a senior position.  
  • High fidelity and prototyping skills e.g Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma/Sketch, Justinmind etc.
  • Agile/Sprint based environment working experience.
  • Understanding of User Experience (UX) & Design fundamentals.
  • The ability to take ownership and be the champion of your designs.
  • Excellent communication skills - you'll be able to confidently communicate the reasons behind your creative decisions to team members.
