ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role is a mix of leadership and hands-on coding. You will be leading a team of passionate and talented developers working with high profile clients. A key part of this role will be communicating with clients and senior stakeholders up to C Suite level, ensuring everyone is on the same page and working together effectively.
From a coding perspective, you'll mainly focus on back-end development but will have full-stack development capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hands-on coding, predominantly focusing on back-end development
Supporting goal setting, development and performance conversations through 1:1 catch-ups with your team
Supporting engagement and culture activities
Recruitment, onboarding and offboarding
Communicating and ensuring understanding of organisational, and tribe goals and strategies
Evaluating individual performance and delivering performance reviews
Supporting the wellbeing of your team by building a safe, supportive and inclusive environment
Raising and resolving impediments and blockers to performance and wellbeing if your team
ABOUT YOU:
We are seeking someone who ideally has 10+ years of relevant development experience, along with experience leading and/or managing technical teams. You will be a natural leader, able to garner respect from your reports and more junior colleagues as well as technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This role will involve a mix of leadership and hands-on coding, and from a technical perspective you will need skills/experience with the following:
.NET Core
Terraform
AWS
Some software architecture experience
Capable with one or more frameworks: React, React Native, Angular, Vue.js, or similar
In addition, to be successful in this role you will bring:
Your first-class organisational skills
Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to think outside the box with regards to technical problems
Communication and interpersonal skills that are second to none
Commercial acumen that allows you to form balanced views between technical outcomes, client outcomes and financial impacts in cost and ROI
