About the role
BW is looking for an experienced IT Systems Manager to spearhead their e-commerce systems and integrations.

You’ll oversee the integration of systems and technologies within their omni-channel environment ensuring that different software applications; platforms and data sources work seamlessly together. This includes integrating e-commerce platforms, ERP software, marketing automation software and other third-party tools within the ecommerce ecosystem.

You’ll sit within the IT Systems team reporting into their Business Development Manager managing a team of 2. Working closely with your team you’ll be strategising; scripting and maintaining the integration of different systems.
There are some really exciting integration projects planned for 2024 including website replatforms; loyalty system rollouts and a customer data project.

The role is replacing a pivotal team member, and our expectation is that the new team member will play a large role in our key decision making processes as we continue to develop and grow our digital business.

Key responsibilities:
  • Systems Integration – Manage the integration of ecommerce platforms and other third-party tools to streamline and optimise online and digital operations. You’ll be developing the integrations between various platforms through a bespoke integration application using Node.js & TypeScript and a built-in scripting function in our ERP Accredo.
  • Data Management – manage the flow of data between different systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security. Implement data mapping, transformation, and validation processes.
  • Customer Data – oversee the role out of our customer data project and its integration / use through the business and tech stack.
  • Troubleshooting- identify and resolve integration issues effectively.
  • Testing – ensure thorough testing of integrations to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Documentation – keep up to date documentation of integration process, configurations and troubleshooting. Provide training to the team on new software application and processes.
  • Collaboration – work closely with digital, marketing and sales teams to ensure they are effectively using the software applications effectively.

Key experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, AWS (ECS/SQS), Github
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in IT systems management, with a focus on ecommerce platforms
  • Experience writing scripts to automate processes
  • Strong knowledge of ecommerce technologies, web services, and API integrations
  • Strong analytical skills to translate business needs to technical development
  • Knowledge of modern web applications
  • Experience in project management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Shopify and/or Magento platforms
