ABOUT THE ROLE:
This newly created role is responsible for the overall management and support of the network infrastructure. You'll bring your experience supporting medium to large networks; data centre management; cloud infrastructure management; and will have worked with various networking tools and protocols. This is an ideal role for someone with a good understanding of network security; and a desire to stay current with modern technology solutions.

This is a full time, permanent role working 37.5 hours a week in Auckland.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • M365 and Azure expertise including complex Active Directory.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) expertise (e.g., EC2, account access, security groups).
  • Maintain and monitor cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, MS Azure, Office 365).
  • Configuration in AWS (e.g., Fortinet web filtering, VPC backup and Mgmt., KMS).
  • Manage and support Linux systems and Windows systems.
  • Maintain and build scripts to manage the cloud infrastructure and server instances.
  • Conduct short-term and long-term network architecture planning to meet current and expanding business requirements.
  • Troubleshoot router and switch connectivity.
  • Provide top level network support within defined SLAs.
  • Work with the Information Security and Software Development departments to design an operating environment and data flow that is secure.
  • Develop testing and implementation plans for projects with multiple moving parts.
  • Actively participate in troubleshooting and RCA for security and INF events.
  • Consistently provide high quality work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Accountable for accomplishing tasks both independently and collaboratively.

ABOUT YOU:
  • 5+ years of cloud transition or cloud management experience in a technical networking role, including – but not limited to – design, implementation, disaster recovery, network security architecture and engineering.
  • Proven ability to provide automation solutions using PowerShell, Python and JSON.
  • Must have strong prior scripting experience.
  • Must have extensive Cloud experience with AWS; experience with MS Azure, Office 365, and/or Force.com is a plus.
  • Platform and OS experience: Linux, UNIX, Server 2003, Server 2012 à 2022, Windows 11, Android, iOS.
  • Prior experience with Dell and Fortinet, Aruba hardware.
  • Strong experience with WAN/LAN technologies, legacy protocols, and networking techniques.
  • Experience with various networking components such as: Fortinet and Aruba equipment, VMware, Forti manager, ACLs, Firewalls, VPN, SDWAN MPLS, SSL, TLS, SMTP, DNS, DCHP.
  • Experience with remote access technology such as: SSL VPN, ADFS, etc.
In addition you will need proven analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to multitask, and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
