ABOUT THE ROLE:

Provide technical leadership and take responsibility for systems design, build and implementation, focusing on the VMware space.

Reporting to the Platform Manager, you will:

• Produce infrastructure design documents showing build and capacity plans
• Take responsibility for the availability of infrastructure, minimising unscheduled downtime
• Monitor, maintain and optimise infrastructure
• Work with vendors and third party suppliers to ensure effective systems operation

ABOUT YOU:

• Previous systems engineering experience within a high-availability environment
• Proven skills in producing infrastructure design and build documentation
• Strong skills with VMware, Veeam and vSphere
• Experience of upgrading hardware
• Skilled in capacity planning and managing patching processes
• Experience in troubleshooting network and hardware components
