Contract to start June - 10 weeks with the potential to go perm or extend. This role requires someone to be based in Wellington 

A bit about the role:
We are looking for an experienced Service Designer, with a particular focus in UX Research, CX strategy and Service Design
  • An interest in people and how to address their needs and help them achieve their goals
  • Knowledge of participatory and iterative design techniques including observational studies, customer interviews, prototyping, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights, learn about user behaviour and verify design concepts
  • Ability to balance business goals and user needs and understand the broader impacts of your design decisions
  • Experience designing and conducting measured experiments to gather feedback on existing or conceptual products, and services.
  • Confidence in collaborating with, and leading, clients throughout the design process across project definition exercises, co-design sessions, workshops, showcases and more
  • An interest in assisting in the creation of fit-for-purpose Service Design artefacts that guide organisations to transform customer needs and pain points into business opportunities.
  • Experience working across enterprise websites, custom platforms and native apps across a range of industries
  • Strong communication skills and ability to rationalise your design decisions, while adapting your style to your audience. Confident presenting work to clients and guiding them through the journey
Who are you?
  • 4+ years’ experience in Service Design, UX, Research, and CX Strategy
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • A passion for making complex interactions simple, and making large amounts of information digestible
  • An understanding of content strategy and design, including information architecture
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask and follow through in a fast-paced environment
  • An interest in systems thinking and design in complex systems
