ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager who has experience within the utilities market (ideally, you're currently working in it) to provide project management direction for software integration projects in a customer facing environment. You'll be working closely with some of NZ's largest companies who are integrating new innovative solutions. 

This role can be seen as a longer-term contract opportunity or, if someone is looking for a permanent opportunity (you get a lot of amazing benefits!) then we are very open to that too. 

You will be responsible in managing, designing and facilitating the implementation of solutions in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

You will also be responsible for the overall objectives of project delivery attaining of scope, quality, budget and timeline. 

Day-to-day: 

Operational: 

Responsible for the overall accomplishment of assigned projects including:
  • Planning and scheduling project activities
  • Establishing and resourcing project roles and responsibilities
  • Defining tasks required for the successful delivery to project milestones
  • Monitoring and reporting on quality and progress
  • Develops, implements and maintains sound project management and operational practices
  • Evaluates and reviews project methodologies and offerings for continuous improvement
Leadership: 
  • Leading the client and project team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Building and maintaining project team spirit and motivation.
  • Setting standards and expectations of team member performance.
  • Developing work methods to craft team function and cohesiveness.
  • Responsible for championing, developing and sustaining a culture of
  • continuous improvement amongst the Service Delivery Department.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience working in a Utility company in a project management role 
  • Have experience with software integration projects
  • Have experience in a customer facing role 
  • Great written and verbal communication
