ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Senior Network Engineer you will play a critical role in designing, implementing and maintaining this company's network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and security of the network and will foster a positive relationship with the Network, Voice and Software engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, implement and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to plan and execute network upgrades and expansion projects
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network resources to ensure high availability
- Maintain technical documentation and drawings and engage with internal teams for updates when required
- Take ownership of escalated faults and work through to resolution
- Ensure network compliance with industry standards and best practices
ABOUT YOU:
- At least 4 years of experience in Telecommunications and/or a Service Provider
- Excellent knowledge of netwotk protocols, TCP/IP, routing and switching
- Good working knowledge of Linux
- Experience with a varierty of networing equipment such as Juniper, Cisco, Mikrotik, CCNP/JNCIP
- Knowledge of scripting and automation and its use in a networking environment is advantageous
- Hybrid work from home and office - 50/50
