ABOUT THE COMPANY:

An IT service and support business for Primary Health, Disability Providers and Not For Profit organisations seeks a Senior Network Engineer to provide hands on technical support and leadership for the wider technical team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will contribute to paving out the technology roadmap of the business all while providing hands on support.
  
You will be involved in pre-sales and project delivery to design effective solutions utilising a wide range of vendors and technologies.
  
You will have a knack for solving high-level incidents and attain the confident to review the architecture of their networking to ensure they are providing and supporting the best designs, hardware and general solutions for their clients.

YOU WILL HAVE:
  • Tertiary level qualification in Information Technology or similar.
  • 5+ years experience as a Network Engineer.
  • SDWAN, CCNA, CCIE, CCNP qualifications.
  • ITIL foundation.
  • Experience on the Cloud, preferably Azure.
  • Working knowledge of levels 1, 2 and 3 of network connectivity.
  • Implementation experience in an enterprise and SME environment; Windows, VMware, Azure, O365.
  • Experience designing and implementing networking solutions including but not limited to SD-WAN and Core Network.
  • Proven experience planning, designing, configuring and implementing routers, switches, WiFi and radio devices from different vendors.
  • Ability to create and maintain network design along with procedures, processes and policies.
  • Experience reviewing and operating monitoring and alert systems.
  • A strong understanding of networking and Cloud services, with experience in the health and disability sector advantageous.
  • You will be able to operate and review monitoring and alert systems, increasing visibility and improving operations.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automations.
  • Adaptable and able to think on your feet.
  • Proven experience performing root cause analysis on complex network problems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to interact with key stakeholders and other members of the IT team regarding the IT roadmap of the business.
