This is one to watch and the company has been growing significantly and have some very exciting projects and new clients for 2023. They are a collective of creative and digital innovators who work with large scale and smaller scale clients NZ side creating groundbreaking products, working on the newest technologies. The company has a full in-house development team of developers; designers; testers and project managers. 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to work as part of a dedicated team to create backend services for a large-scale React Native iOS/Android mobile application on a large-scale client project. 

This is an initial 6-month contract starting mid-June. We're very happy to interview permanent candidates looking to go contracting who have a notice period. 

Key responsibilities:

● Develop, test and maintain software applications and systems using .NET
framework and other relevant technologies
● Write clean, scalable and well-documented code
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements
and translate them into technical specifications.
● Design and implement software solutions that meet customer needs
● Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best
practices.
● Debug and troubleshoot issues in the software, including identifying and
resolving bugs.
● Write unit tests and perform functional testing to ensure the software meets
quality standards.
● Implement security measures to protect the software against threats
● Optimize software performance to improve speed, scalability and reliability
● Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning,
stand-ups and retrospectives.
● Collaborate with other developers to integrate software applications and
systems.
● Participate in software architecture and design reviews to ensure the software
is maintainable, scalable and efficient.
● Integrate third-party libraries, frameworks, and APIs into software applications.
● Document technical specifications, test cases and user manuals.
● Analyze performance metrics and debug performance issues.
● Set up and maintain development environments, including databases,
servers and other infrastructure.
● Collaborate with DevOps engineers to deploy software.
● Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services.
● Provide estimates for development tasks and provide input into project
planning. 

Skills and experience:
  • 5+ years' experience working in backend software development, with recent experience in .NET & Microsoft Azure specifically.
  • Familiar with agile methodologies.
  • Technical leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Forensic attention to detail.
  • You work well within a team environment.
