ABOUT THE COMPANY:

ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing the infrastructure that underpins the core platform, ran on behalf of a key client, and the operations across two data centres. Your expertise will ensure high availability, performance, and security of critical systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Design, implement, and maintain virtualized environments using VMware.
    • Manage HP storage solutions and HP networking switches to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • Configure and maintain WatchGuard firewalls and F5 load balancers for robust security and traffic management.
    • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, with a focus on OpenShift platforms.
    • Perform hardware installations, repairs, and expansions within data centre environments.
    • Monitor and maintain physical infrastructure to ensure continuous operation.
    • Administer and support Windows and Linux operating systems.
    • Provide support for Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and Oracle databases, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
ABOUT YOU:
    • Proven experience in managing VMware environments.
    • Hands-on experience with HP storage and HP networking and compute hardware.
    • Proficiency in configuring and maintaining WatchGuard firewalls and F5 load balancers.
    • Experience with containerization, specifically OpenShift.
    • Strong background in data centre operations, including hardware installation and maintenance.
    • Solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Adaptability to evolving technologies and processes.
