ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will report to the Data Analytics Lead and work closely with the team's DBA and Data Engineer to develop and maintain their data assets. This small team works closely across a variety of responsibilities and projects, and as such you will gain exposure to multiple areas of the data analytics practice, including DBA, reporting and visualisation, and some data engineering. The majority of the role will involve database administration that will over the next year transition towards cloud engineer as the organisation move from on-prem to the cloud. You'll also collaborate with and support analysts and other stakeholders across the organisation with their analytics efforts.
ABOUT YOU:
This role is best suited to a DBA who is looking to diversify their experience and gain exposure to cloud engineering. Knowledge of SQL Server is a must. As the organisation is beginning their transition from on-prem to the cloud you will be given the opportunity to develop your skills and learn from experts.
Experience querying data using SQL.
Experience with on-prem databases (SQL Server) and Cloud-based data stores (Snowflake, S3, Redshift etc.).
Experience in utilising data and analytics to drive improved business decisions.
Extensive experience in requirements gathering and business analysis.
A track record of creating and implementing reports, visualisation, and dashboards.
A proven ability to engage with business stakeholders in a constructive and collaborative way.
Experience in data modelling, visualisation and analysis tools (Tableau experience preferred).
