The Security Analyst ensures that the information security practices, tools, and processes are embedded across technology operations. This role supports proactive service management by administering security tooling, monitoring threats, and coordinating responses to maintain compliance and protect organizational assets.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Security Analyst ensures that the information security practices, tools, and processes are embedded across technology operations. This role supports proactive service management by administering security tooling, monitoring threats, and coordinating responses to maintain compliance and protect organizational assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and respond to phishing and InfoSec mailboxes
- Coordinate with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) for incident triage and escalation
- Analyse logs and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Oversee and administer security tools (in-house or vendor-managed)
- Ensure new security services and tooling are rolled out effectively across the organisation
- Maintain configuration standards and ensure operational readiness
- Compile monthly cybersecurity metrics and stakeholder reporting
- Participate in Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) activities
- Assist in root cause analysis and remediation planning
- Work closely with Information Management to align security practices with policies
- Maintain and update security Policies, Standards and
- Procedures and the exemption process
- Support audits and compliance reporting
- Document incidents and lessons learned for continuous improvement
- Partner with Service Management, Technology Platforms, and vendors to embed security into service design
- Provide guidance and support to teams on security best practices
We are seeking someone with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. In addition you will need:
- Strong knowledge of information security principles and frameworks
- Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response processes
- Familiarity with phishing detection, vulnerability management, and SOC coordination
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent) preferred.
