Our client is a leading retail distributor of some of the most well-known sports, lifestyle, and outdoor brands. They are an innovative company where e-commerce and omni-channel marketing is at the core of their business. They have an incredible work environment and pride themselves on their culture. They are based on Auckland City fringe and have parking available.


This will be one of the most exciting search roles live this year!
Our client is continuing to go from strength to strength across their 5 key brands (some of NZ's top retail brands) and are looking for someone to come on board, lead and manage their search capacity across SEM & SEO.
We're looking for someone who has dominated this space already and is excited by the opportunity to set-up a full internal function and champion search NZ wide (you'll live and breathe digital marketing).
There are solid budgets to be working with across their brands; an incredible team who you'll collaborate closely with and the opportunity to push the boundaries and try out new things (there isn't any red tape like what you'd get in a large agency).
Key Responsibilities:

SEM Responsibilities (40%):
  •   Lead online advertising efforts on Google, PMAX, and YouTube to boost brand visibility and goals.
  •   Stay current with generative AI and emerging trends, leveraging them to keep us ahead of the curve.
  •   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design SEM strategies aligned with business key objectives.
  •   Manage Google shopping and search campaigns for various brands.
  •   Maintain accurate product data through GMC feeds.
  •   Regularly audit and refine ads for enhanced performance.
  •   Conduct keyword research, test ad variations, and monitor competitors.
  •   Optimize ads for target keywords, locations, and budgets.
  •   Ensure accurate ad tracking and deliver weekly SEM reports to clients.
  •   Stay informed about SEM updates and trends for continuous improvement.
  •   Oversee and implement our Bing strategy for expanded online presence.
SEO (On-Page) Responsibilities (30%):
  •   Collaborate with content teams to enhance website content for better search rankings.
  •   Streamline SEO processes with templates and workflows.
  •   Utilize tools like SEMrush and Ahrefs to identify keywords, content opportunities, and trends.
  •   Enhance on-page SEO to align with industry best practices.
  •   Monitor and analyze SEO metrics to uncover optimization avenues.
Other Responsibilities (30%):
  •   Provide comprehensive weekly performance reports, highlighting achievements and insights.
  •  Campaign lead across 2 brands – owning campaign execution, media planning process.
  •   Demonstrated success in SEM campaigns and improved search rankings.
  • Drive; passion and desire to be regarded as one of NZ's foremost experts in search marketing. 
  •   Proficiency in Google Ads, PMAX, YouTube Ads, and Bing Ads
  • Familiarity with GMC feeds, SEM auditing, and SEO tools likSEMrush or Ahrefs.
  •   Strong analytical and communication skills.
  •   Detail-oriented
  •   Enthusiasm for learning and staying updated with industry trends.
