ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Project Manager you will be working within the IT Operations team to deliver a business case for the project to go ahead and work on developing the project plan and handover over a 6 month period. 

Project context:

You will develop the Business case and the detailed Resource and costing schedules for the work scoped for the next Financial Year. 

The companies stores constantly need technology refreshed as the technology ages out. You'll be working on a continuous delivery model of store technology. You'll be working on determining a detailed project and resource plan, and calculate the project costs. Once the Business case is approved, the implementation work will take place eg. visit store, install replacement technology, test, then move to next stores

You’ll be using modern techniques, toolsets, and paradigms that allow us to be innovative, agile and resilient; adapting and acting fast to differentiate them in an increasingly competitive, data connected and digital-driven world.

You'll be ensuring that the delivery effort is of a high standard. You'll report into a Senior Project Manager who is based in Wellington. 

ABOUT YOU:
  • Proven ability to generate and deliver projects that meet business goals
  • Experience working on rolling out IT operations / new software & hardware to multiple stores
  • Experience putting together costing plans using data analysis and Excel
  • Exposure to and experience in modern project delivery practices (including PMBOK, Prince2 and Agile) is a must. Being familiar with the ways of working, technologies, and ceremonies is critical in this role.
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Quickly absorbs new information and assess impact in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and translate ambiguity into actionable deliverables
