ABOUT THE COMPANY:

This high-growth tech start-up is based in Christchurch in a new office but also offers remote working NZ wide. They have products that develop solutions for the auto parts industry. Now is a great time to join, as they go through an exciting period of transformation and growth.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is the first role within the product team and you'll lead the development and delivery of their product. They are looking for someone who can understand their customer and is able to know the customer inside and out. You'll develop the road map, implement and also delegate.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a busy and varied role, in which your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Working with the stakeholders, end-users and customers to understand their needs and goals
  • Defining and refining the Product Vision, Product Roadmap, Release Plans, and the Product Backlog
  • Defining, prioritising and owning a backlog of digital journey and capability enhancements, and ensuring these are brought to market with quality
  • Help develop ideas into a clear, workable vision and roadmap
  • Add detail to user stories and accept or reject developed user stories
  • Leveraging data for decision making and backlog prioritisation, ensuring focus and readiness for build
  • Presenting product increments to the stakeholders, end-users, and customers to ensure the team is building the right thing

ABOUT YOU:

We are seeking someone with fantastic business, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Also, you will bring:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Product Owner or Product Manager role
  • Experience working within a SaaS business
  • Experience managing a product roadmap with multiple stakeholders
  • The ability to deliver change with a bias for action and urgency
  • The ability to think innovatively and challenge the status quo, whilst developing creative, engaging and intuitive product solutions for customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative and ability to work cross-functionally
