ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a key position responsible for overseeing the software development process, providing oversight and guidance to leading a team of developers, and contributing to MTF Finance’s technical strategies. This role involves hands-on development, technical leadership, quality assurance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You’ll be reporting into the Platform Lead.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role include:
Responsible for the execution of MTF Finance’s technical strategies through the delivery of solutions which align to them.
Contribute to the solution design process, understanding the needs of MTF Finance’s customers and originators and defining solutions which align to our architectural strategies.
Contributes to MTF Finance’s Architectural Governance Forum, providing input to decisions which help define the organisation’s overall technology direction.
Contribute to the definition and ongoing maintenance of MTF Finance’s technical strategies, including architecture, integration, identity, and QA.
Responsible for the integrity and stability of delivered solutions, driving a whole-of-team commitment to quality, security and sustainability.
Delivers lasting solutions which minimise technical debt and consider long term maintainability.
Accountable for diligent enterprise risk management practices within the team.
Understands enterprise risk management and coaches this into solution design and architectural governance processes.
Ensures technical debt is understood, recorded and tracked in MTF Finance’s enterprise risk management framework.
Considers security at the outset of the solution design process and aligns to MTF Finance’s information security principles.
ABOUT YOU
7+ years of software delivery within scrum teams preferred.
Current experience in full stack development (.NET, Node.js or Nest.js, MySQL, Vue.js are essential skills at MTF Finance), public cloud delivery (specifically Microsoft Azure), and contemporary integration practices.
Proven success within high performing software delivery teams.
Proven success embedding best practice IT principles.
Proven success implementing innovative technologies with measurable business outcomes.
An energetic, compelling and highly organised individual with the ability to operate effectively within an Agile structure.
Excellent communication skills, able to describe complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
