About the role:
The role of Insights Manager is to ensure effective insights and analysis capabilities for driving business intelligence and supporting campaigning strategies across the organisation. The Insights Manager leads a small but high-performing Insights team responsible for delivering insights and reporting needed for fundraising, engagement, and campaigning initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead on developing data led campaigning strategies, working with key stakeholders in the Campaign Programme team to deliver and adapt environmental campaign plans.
  • Lead on the insights needed to support the delivery of our fundraising and engagement strategies.
  • Responsible for developing and delivering the organisational BI roadmap.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and the BI Specialist to ensure all reporting and insight needs are met.
  • Responsible for maintaining an effective organisation research programme and developing the annual research plan.

About you:
To succeed in this role you will ideally have a passion for data and ensuring that others are able to understand and interact with data easily. You will be analytical and strategic in your thinking, and have experience working with non-technical stakeholders to develop processes and workflows to provide clear and useful information.

Key requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Business Intelligence/Insights role, ideally with people management responsibilities. 
  • Experience with Civis or other similar data partners is essential
  • Experience working in fundraising and marketing programmes
  • Experience supporting the delivery of campaign led data strategies
  • Advanced data visualisation experience
  • Experience working with data warehouses and implementing data structures
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python
