ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Chief Innovation and Technology Officer, in this newly created role, you be responsible for setting the direction for information security for this organisation. You will be responsible for the establishment of the cybersecurity strategy and capability, and will collaborate closely with other members of executive, senior leadership team and Risk & Assurance teams to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and are compliant with applicable regulations and standards.
Central to the success of the role will be developing an understanding of the security challenges in the current and future state of the company's business operations, and preparing them with the right tools, skills, resources, relationships and capabilities against growing information security risks and changing regulatory and compliance landscape.
ABOUT YOU:
10+ years of IT security experience
Knowledge of national and international standards and good practice.
A strong desire to continue keeping abreast of changes in the security space.
Experience with Intrusion Prevention Systems and Tools.
Exposure to the handling and response to Internet security attacks/incidents.
A desire to learn more about emerging security technologies and strategies and their application to enterprise.
Capable of rapid and in-depth understanding of emerging technologies and their relevant application.
Experience and exposure to relevant security tools (e.g. SIEM)
Strong Analytical skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to educate and communicate complex technical risks to business stakeholders.
Detail oriented but creative solution thinker.
