ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Head of Enterprise Data and AI is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and delivering the enterprise data strategy, with accountability for all enterprise data services and data platforms. Working across the business, you will enable fit-for-purpose data solutions that support strategic outcomes.

As a member of the Business Leadership Team, you will bring an enterprise mindset, collaborating across the organisation, driving accountability, and sharing responsibility for delivering our strategic plan.


Some of the duties will include:
Enterprise Data Strategy Create and lead an enterprise data vision and strategy that supports the companies strategic plan, including:

• Delivering a simplified, cost-effective data platform.
• Enabling the business to securely leverage data for timely insights and decision-making.
• Establishing strong data governance, ensuring clear data usage and customer privacy.

Data Platform

• Engage business stakeholders to understand demand and future direction.
• Be accountable for delivery performance across data platforms and squads.
• Own the full development lifecycle, including ongoing support.

Data Analytics

• Develop and improve enterprise data collection, storage, access, archiving and controls, including third-party data.
• Maintain understanding of internal and external systems and source data to address gaps.

Leadership

• Lead and inspire leaders and teams within the function.
• Act as a change agent, aligning data initiatives to business priorities.
• Build and maintain a high-performance culture.

Risk and Compliance

ABOUT YOU:
This role will involve mentoring Team Leaders, and also coaching direct reports. You will have proven leadership skills and will have had direct reports in previous roles. 

• Effective agile project management experience is crucial. This includes creating comprehensive delivery plans, defining scope, setting realistic timelines, and managing resources efficiently.
• You will come from a hands on Data or Engineering background 
• Strong stakeholder management skills 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in large, complex environments
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
