ABOUT THE ROLE: 

We are looking for a Front-End Developer to play a pivotal role in working on front-end development projects within the IT and digital teams. These projects will be internal and customer facing. 

You will work closely with internal and global stakeholders  and meeting the ever-changing needs of the end-users.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Front end web development
  • Creating new web interfaces and upgrading web libraries
  • Using relevant web development platforms, programming and mark-up languages to ensure excellent usability.
  • Working with internal stakeholders to solve problems.
ABOUT YOU: 

  • At least 2 years commercial experience with ReactJS, NextJS, preferred, or Gatsby with TypeScript
  • Experience with HTML & CSS
  • Having worked in an agile environment 
  • Loves writing clean, consistent code 
  • Good understanding of fundamentals of front-end engineering concepts, performance, accessibility, and maintainability. 
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Value empathy and kindness and be able to articulate your ideas and feelings when writing or speaking, and be open to the perspectives others bring. Be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. 
  • Strong customer focus and a good understanding of Design Thinking. Proven ability to deliver great design (UI, UX, CX). Ability to advocate for the value of design in an organization.
  • Ability to take an app from the idea stage to wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes; all the while iterating with the customer.
  • Professionalism and ability to work well in a diverse team. 
  • Enthusiasm about technology; keeping up with best practices. 
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently, but knowing when to ask for help.
