ABOUT THE ROLE:
Within this role you will lead and grow a highly motivated global engineering team that gets stuff done.  As a key member of the leadership team, you will help to shape the future vision for their award winning software.  You'll be responsible for growing the team, managing day-to-day operations, and building an environment of innovation and engineering excellence to drive performance, scalability, and capability for their target markets.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management and professional development
  • Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and leaders within the business to drive the change required to execute product and engineering roadmaps
  • Drive organisation initiatives including Agile process maturity, automated testing, CI/CD and continuous documentation
  • Maintain alignment of teams to business and technical delivery expectations
  • Refine and mature requirements and guide the technical team to implement solutions through solid engineering practice
  • Be unafraid to get your hands dirty and work side by side with the engineers
  • Identify and convert opportunities to evaluate new technologies and drive adoption to enhance business outcomes
ABOUT YOU:
  • Extensive experience developing SaaS applications
  • 10+ years software engineering experienced
  • 5+ years of experience leading distributed engineering teams
  • Broad background using a wide variety of development tools, coding languages, source control, build management and infrastructure
  • Experience in cloud-first environments and building cloud-native platforms
  • Agile methodology experience
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
