ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is wanting to gain (or currently works in) an enterprise level organisation across Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) services in Microsoft Azure.
You'll be part of a team that is responsible for the whole company's cloud infrastructure and remote solutions. The team also manages cyber security controls for the whole company as well.
Key responsibilities:
Act as the key point of contact for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) services in Microsoft Azure.
Provision, manage, monitor and decommission servers and services in Microsoft Azure.
Contribute to the ongoing development of cloud services and security strategies.
Stay up to date on relevant technologies, understand trends, cost optimisation and best-practice opportunities within the ever-evolving technology landscape.
Work closely with other business units and the organisation’s chosen technology partners to deliver projects and new solutions.
ABOUT YOU:
3+ years' experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud and scripting experience with PowerShell or JOSN.
Understanding and good knowledge of cloud security best practice.
Experience with templates and other configurable items to enable automation.
Knowledge of basic monitoring techniques in a dynamic environment.
Understanding of stateless and loosely coupled distributed applications.
Basic understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
Experience in a large enterprise organisation would be preferred.
