ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role will be responsible for maintaining and converting a legacy desktop system built using Embarcadero C++ to Java. There will be some exposure to the legacy system which will need to be maintained during the conversion process, but this will progressively diminish over time until the conversion is completed.

This role is a 6 month contract ideally starting as soon as possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES: 

• Embarcadero C++, Java, Serverless, REST APIs, Firebase, RDBMS and NoSQL database technologies
• Development of full stack solutions in both the desktop and web environments.
• Designing and development of complex solutions using recognised methodologies and software engineering patterns
• Delivering solutions on time
• Finding solutions to problems
• Working as part of a team which includes thorough handover to team members in different time zones
• Microsoft Services, AWS Cloud Services, Docker, Kubernetes
