ABOUT THE ROLE:
Higgins Family Holdings is in the process of building a modern data platform and are seeking an exceptional BI Analyst to work alongside the vendor and play a key role in the deployment of this platform. This is a totally greenfields role where you will turn organisational data into meaningful insights, enabling better decision-making, improving system utilisation, and supporting data-driven practices across the organisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This key role within the IT Team works closely with business leaders, the modern data platform, and key business systems to ensure data is well‑mapped, trusted, accessible, and used effectively. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Creating value from data, driving the data product roadmap and supporting the executive with use case build, insight creation and analysis.
- Running data quality initiatives to incrementally improve organisational data.
- Designing, building and managing grade data products, in conjunction with the system providers.
- Creating narrative reports that provide context and insights based on data.
- Raising the completeness, consistency, timeliness and accuracy of data.
- Evaluating and identifying where system or process enhancements are required, mapping existing process.
- Training requirements and documentation, guides. educating staff on the importance of accurate data entry.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse, and interpret business requirements, ensuring that data solutions align with organisational objectives.
- Establishing a BI self-service practice with key business users.
- Proactively monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative approaches for data management and analytics.
- Regularly examining data reports to ensure consistency, quality and resolve issues throughout.
- Mapping existing process.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality.
- Ensuring that data is being used in line with best practice and relevant compliance and regulatory requirements.
ABOUT YOU:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working with Power BI, Snowflake, MS Fabric, Office 365 and SharePoint
- Knowledge of data quality management and data governance practices
- Able to translate business questions into requirements, analysis, process, and visualisations
- Technical skills in database and advanced reporting and visualisation tools and programmes including SQL.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to self-manage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of a business
