ABOUT THE ROLE:

The successful Business Development Manager (BDM) will join the business to develop and implement the strategies for business and market development.

You will be ensuring identified opportunities result in the achievement of agreed growth and revenue targets.

You will identify key prospective clients for existing customer services through research, effective market segmentation and analysis. 

You will develop and maintain relevant networks and trusted relationships with the key decision makers; identifying and promoting how new and existing company products and services can solve their business needs.

You will prepare accurate proposals and costings to secure new or enhanced business through solution sales.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Building new business via various outbound channels
  • Develop business plans and sales strategies aligned to broader organizational strategy
  • Providing our target market with a clear view of our capability and value proposition
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with key decision makers for clients
  • Methodical opportunity qualification, engaging business stakeholders to understand internal processes and budget/ROI requirements
  • Tailor and present relevant industry insights to customers
  • Configure and deliver customised demonstrations to prospective customers
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end sales process, including proposal, commercial discussions and contract negotiation.
ABOUT YOU:
  • Experience within a sales/business development/marketing role
  • Experience within a large complex organisation or service provider preferred
  • Experience and discipline to allocate time to prospect for new sales
  • The ability to engage with senior business customers, understand their challenges and provide valuable insight;
  • Strong communication, business writing and presentation skills coupled with the ability to engage with customers remotely using various video conferencing tools
  • Curious problem-solving mind and a professional customer-centric approach
  • Maturity to own the end-to-end sales process from qualification through to contract negotiation
  • The drive to excel and ambition to deliver outstanding results for your customers, your team and yourself
