About the Company:

A global Fintech company that has seen continuous growth with no signs of slowing down. They specialise in the enablement of turning unsecure mobile devices into secure payment platforms via a cloud-based authentication platform. Their offices are based in Auckland, however they are open to fully remote working anywhere within New Zealand (Candidates must be based in New Zealand). 

About the role:

As the Software Engineering Team Lead you will be responsible for both hands-on software development and for leading a team of developers in the APAC region. You will participate in the design and implementation of new functionalities for Android Apps and connected services, working closely with the Technical Operations department across the globe.

You will lead an efficient & effective software engineering team to deliver Product on-time, to specification and of a high-quality encompassing both New Product Development and/or on-going Product Support/enhancements.
 

Who are you and what is your profile:

You will have a background in designing and building software products, excellent understanding of project methodologies, leadership skills, great communication skills and the motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include assisting in hiring, developing, mentoring and managing a team of software developers.

  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and strong team focus required
  • Domain experience (Payments, PCI CPoC, mPOS, NFC, SaaS )
  • Ability to understand and manage complex project tasks independently
  • Experience with Agile Development process
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, thorough, accurate.
  • Ability to extract information from diagrams, interviews, technical documents, test data, and hands-on work with a device and convert it to the appropriate level for the intended audience
  • Excellent knowledge of product design.
  • Self-motivated, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
