ABOUT THE ROLE:
This role will involve approximately 75% BAU and project-based systems engineering and 25% DevOps responsibilities.

The primary function of this role is to support the BAU environments (production & non-production) that includes rostered 24x7 support, deployments & automation using CICD toolsets

The role will lead system engineering activities to improve the capability of the company's systems, primarily in automation of system engineering tasks to meet the digital growth demands of the business. It will also mentor other technical team members in the use of modern technology and techniques.

ABOUT YOU:
We are seeking someone with the following technical skills and experience:
  • Extensive experience as a systems engineer in a Linux environment and at least a year of experience operating with CICD solutions in the applications and environment space
  • VMWare and Linux
  • Packer, Terraform, Docker, Ansible, command-line utilities & shell scripting
  • Agile & DevOps engineering practices and CICD tools
  • GitHub, Bitbucket, Gitlab & related code repository management tools
  • Monitoring tools e.g. New Relic / Splunk / EFK / ELK
  • Documentation and workflow tools such as Jira, Confluence
  • Patching tools i.e. RHEL, Satellite
  • Experience with Docker & container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes/Tanzu
