ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a great opportunity for someone who has a media planning and buyer experience, who wants to work on larger scale global strategic projects, within a company, at a senior level.
  
  • Lead the planning function for the team and be expert in planning across all channel forms including social, digital (SEM, eDM), programmatic, video (OnDemand, television), press, outdoor, eDM.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting of marketing activity alongside the Digital Performance Manager
  • Be expert in the use of the full-service media planning tools, audience research, buying and monitoring software/platforms the agency subscribes to. Accurately analyse data and provide insight across the planning, buying, and reporting functions.
  • Taking day-to-day strategically focused leadership responsibility for In Market activity.
  • Prepare and present planning documents and channel plans to GM Global Marketing and In Market teams, in support of the strategy.
  • Identify the best of media channels to deliver the channel strategy and most effectively reach the target audiences by market, make budget recommendations, negotiate media rates, premium positioning and added value placements.
  • Oversee the buying and implementation of all media (full service and digital), working with Media Planning Assistant to execute on marketing activity.
  • Work with allocated Central Marketing/Digital team members on a day-to-day basis, attend and present at In Market meetings, maintain professional In Market and Agency relationships.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the NZ and Global media market, stay up to date with new innovations/technologies, and maintain professional relationships with media owners. Have a strong understanding of our audiences across our brand portfolio globally.
  
ABOUT YOU:
  • 3+ years’ experience in Media Strategist/Media Planner role or similar.
  • Experience working within agency, managing media planning & buying.
