ABOUT THE ROLE: 

We are looking for a Product Designer who enjoys end-to-end product design. A big focus of this role will be improving the customer experience. 

You will have experience working in a cross-functional team building digital products and are looking to take the next step in your career.

In this role, you will work alongside a Senior Product Manager to tackle exciting user journey and design problems.

You will have experience in user research, journey mapping, creating prototypes, user testing, as well as high-fidelity designs, plus a general flair for graphic design.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES: 
  • Build out the design function 
  • Alongside a product manager, conduct user interviews to gather feedback, validate ideas, and test designs
  • Assist in mapping the customer journey and identifying areas of improvement
  • Work with the product manager and engineers to turn ideas into rapid designs
  • Create high-fidelity designs, collaborating with the engineering team to build the product
  • Improving and making changes to our website and broad graphic design-tasks
  • Identify new product improvement opportunities
  • Create consistent but distinct illustrations for each of our products and show how they interact
Your skills
  • 3-5 years experience in product design, UX design or a similar role
  • Strong ability to empathise with users
  • Proven experience in all phases of the design process including user research, copywriting, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing
  • An intuitive eye for customer needs beyond the obvious
  • A good understanding of cars and car parts
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members
  • Ability to collect and interpret both qualitative and quantitative feedback
  • Experience with design programs like Figma, Illustrator and Sketch
  • Ability to effectively communicate and persuade around design concepts
  • Passion for design; not satisfied with the status quo and always thinking of ways to improve
  • Creative problem-solving skills
