Job description

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is building New Zealand’s consumer data sharing platform.

They build the integrations with large financial institutions and providers across NZ. They have a core purpose to ensure Kiwi's have the opportunity to control and leverage their own data.

It's a very exciting time to be joining a company like this who is at the forefront of FinTech innovation that will impact every one of us.

They provide a suite of deeply functional data integrations with banks and other financial institutions. These integrations are bundled into a simple API for developers to build upon.

Their API delivers payment initiation, enriched transaction data, account data, identify verification, and bank account verification.

Their customers range from one of the biggest banks in New Zealand, right through to single developers coding away at night on a side project and dreaming of building the next Xero or Sharesies.

A wave of products powered by the company are launching in the market this year so it's an exciting time to join their journey!

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for experienced and passionate Node.js Engineers to lead exciting projects that are within the Open Banking space enriching transaction data. The role would suit someone who has an appetite for data and financial services, as well as empowering Kiwi's.

You will be designing and developing open finance APIs.

They are "all-in" on Amazon Web Services, so multiple years building on top of AWS is a must, especially amongst the serverless stack, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and Lambda.

We're open to anyone with intermediate or senior experience as there are a few opportunities.

ABOUT YOU

Minimum 3+ years' in a developer engineering role.

Enjoy finding ways to solver problems in a fast-moving environment and enjoying challenging yourself by continuing to learn new skills.

You’re happy to jump into complexity and figure things out. You don't need an established playbook.

You're excited about building the infrastructure that will enable a wave of financial innovation in New Zealand.

Keen to make an impact and help to shape the new FinTech landscape.
