ABOUT THE ROLE:
As part of the close-knit and talented Infrastructure team, you will contribute towards creating and maintaining an environment of operational excellence.  You will ensure network availability across the business and will help develop the strategy and future roadmap for their networking services.  You will be involved with the design, configuration and implementation of mainstream networking technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain, design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, SDWAN)
  • Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
  • Configure firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
  • Maximise network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Resolve issues and escalated incidents by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
  • Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
  • Maintain compliance with our control frameworks, standards, and policies
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation and procedures to support bank activities
  • Engage and liaise with vendors for escalated support issues and incidents

ABOUT YOU:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good customer focus and ability to build strong business / working relationships
  • A strong understanding of processes applicable to change management, change control, deployment documentation, risk management, problem management and incident management
  • A good understanding and experience in routing and switching of large networks
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or relevant experience
  • 3+ years' of hands on experience with a wide range of Cisco router and switch models
  • Good knowledge of the following technologies and protocols, Cisco switches, VSS, OSPF, BGP and STP
  • 3+ years’ experience in administrating and troubleshooting a large managed Wide Area Network >30 sites
  • A good understanding and experience of WIFI technologies specifically Cisco Access Points, Wireless Controllers and Prime
  • 3+ years' experience in administrating and troubleshooting next generation firewalls, UTM’s, IPS/IDS, such as ForcePoint and Fortinet
