This is a senior leadership role positioned at the centre of the digital product practice, leading a talented team that delivers sophisticated digital solutions for government, commercial and international clients. The role will shape the way they build products, define the technology approach that supports new business opportunities, and drive the growth and development of the team.
As the industry evolves, particularly with the rapid impact of AI on how high-performing teams deliver work, we are looking for someone who is ahead of the curve and excited to help lead that transformation.
What you'll own
Delivery & infrastructure
You will be working on sophisticated digital products, including government applications, complex web platforms, and modern mobile solutions, while using new technologies across live government projects. You will contribute to the architecture of modern financial and government systems and partner with international blue-chip clients across a range of industries. You will also help drive the adoption of AI tooling and workflows, supporting the team in building meaningful capability and practical applications for AI within delivery processes.

What you'll own
Delivery & infrastructure
- Own the technical delivery — from mobile apps to sophisticated web and infrastructure,, the whole digital stack
- Define the way of working: standards, tooling, code quality, and how we review and ship
- Lead architecture decisions across projects
- Still hands-on where it counts, so you'll be comfortable getting into the work, not just directing it
- Code reviews and technical estimations, both directly and through the team
- Build on an already strong security posture — continuously raising the bar, especially on regulated and government work
- Drive adoption of AI in our workflow — not experimentally, but seriously and securely
- Lead and develop the development team.
- Build a culture where engineers have ownership, grow their craft, and feel like adults at work
- Be positive and authoritative in new-business pitches. You’ll translate technical complexity into client confidence
- Turn client briefs into architecture: understand what's needed and show how we'd build it

Technical bits:
- TypeScript + Node.js across the entire stack. Scripts, services, tooling, APIs, FE.
- AWS core services - DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, SES, RDS, ECS, S3. Serverless Framework/CloudFormation deployments. Understanding of AWS best practices and principles, security first, but also networking and other areas. Deep DynamoDB knowledge of single-table DynamoDB design preferred.
- CI/CD pipelines/tooling - Github Actions.
