Scott grew up in Christchurch where he spent most of his time either swimming or studying. He completed a master’s degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology at the University of Canterbury, specialising in mental health and Wellbeing in New Zealand workplaces. Scott’s line of study has seen him work in research and teaching undergraduate psychology, where he fostered a genuine passion to understand and motivate people.
Upon graduating, Scott then found himself moving to Auckland to join an international recruitment firm specialising in the finance sector. He found success in developing great candidate relationships and a solutions focused approach to clients needs. Scott understands how difficult the recruitment process can be and aims to provide care and clarity throughout the process to allow people to make the right decision for their unique needs. He is excited to utilise his skills and experience within Tech and Digital recruitment here at BrightSpark.
Outside of work you’ll find Scott spinning a yarn over coffee, in the gym, or diving deep into all things sci-fi: from movies, videogames and books, to his personal favourite, the tabletop miniature board game Warhammer 40k.
